World of Color – week 2
Theme – This week we will continue our Unit 4 of the Owl, World of Color. During this unit students will interact with colors explore topics such as color mixing, stains, fading, camouflage, and color patterns. Students will learn that color can be found in nature, that color can carry information, that paints and dyes are used to color things, colors can be mixed to make new colors and that sun and washing can make colors fade.

Math –Making patterns

Easel – Painting Dog’s colorful spots
Blue table – Coloring Salt with Chalk
Laundry Center - Students are Washing, Drying and Folding Clothes
Yellow Table – Matching letters on colored cars
Sensory – colored water with tubing, funnels and squirt bottles
Red table – Painting with straws
Music:

Special Notes:
1) We are focusing on the color blue this week. Please have your child wear blue on Thursday.
2) Say Cheese!! We will have picture day on Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
3) The afternoon class will be welcoming Saniya to the Safari Scouts class this week!
