OWL Unit 1- Week 5
Books This Week:
Corduroy by Don Freeman

Small Groups:
-Fine motor - Students will practice forming the first letter of their names using playdough and stencils. Students will also practice writing the first letters of their names using letter patterns.
-Science - Students will explore sound and make connections to our stories as they strum a guitar and rubber bands fastened over shoe boxes.
-Language -Students will develop rhyming skills as they recall rhymes from the song Down By the Bay and create a rhyme board
Choice Time:
-Dramatic Play- Students will pretend to take care of babies by reading them books, giving them baths and feeding them.
-Sensory Table- Water, water wheels and funnels
-Writing- Students will draw pictures of their favorite stuffed animals and make connections to the story Corduroy.
- Math and manipulatives - Alphabet puzzles
-Library- Books about families
- Art table- Students can write with chalk and use Q-tips to blend the colors and make new colors.
-Rug - Students can work together to build lego towers
